DAY 1 Shillong: Arrival and sightseeing
Once you receive a pickup from the Guwahati airport/railway station, you will be transferred to Shillong. En route, visit the breathtaking Umiam Lake. Proceed to Shillong, where you can visit the local market and by home souvenirs. Don Bosco Monument, Botanical Garden, Lady Hydri Park, and boating on Ward’s Lake are other attractions of the day. Enjoying the sightseeing, you will reach your hotel in Shillong. Check-in, unwind and enjoy the remaining day at leisure. Later, sleep peacefully at the hotel.
DAY 2 Cherrapunji: To waterfalls and caves
Savor a delectable morning meal and checkout from the hotel. Now, you will be moving to Cherrapunji – the lace that ranks second to Mawsynram when it comes to the world’s wettest place. Drink in the scenery of undulating hills, waterfalls, and aromatic vegetation. Shillong, Cherrapunji sightseeing further takes you to Nohkalikai or Seven Sisters Falls - a seven segmented waterfall which falls from a height of more than 1000 feet. From here visit caves such as Mawsmai Cave and Arwah Cave. Proceed to your hotel for check-in and sleep restfully.
DAY 3 Shillong: Off to 'God's own garden'
Wake up to a delicious breakfast and checkout from the hotel. Now, you will be moving to Mawlynnong - a picturesque village located in East Khasi Hills along the India-Bangladesh border. The village is declared as the cleanest village in Asia and is also known as 'God's own garden'.
