DAY 1 Kaziranga: Arrival and Day at leisure
Upon your arrival at the Guwahati International Airport with your family, an agent’s representative will receive you and transfer you to Kaziranga. Complete the check-in formalities and relax in your luxurious room. Your evening is at leisure and you can sprawl amidst nature with your kids. Cherish the beginning of a wonderful holiday and revel in the scenic beauty of the jungle. After dinner, retreat to your room for a cozy overnight stay. Kaziranga National Park: A world heritage site, the Kaziranga National Park hosts two-thirds of the world’s great One-horned rhinoceros. Come face to face with wildlife and get a chance to spot tigers, elephants, swamp deer, wild water buffalos.
DAY 2 Kaziranga: Elephant Safari followed by Jeep Safari
Begin your day early as you are taken on a tour of the Kaziranga National Park on elephant back. Elephant Safari: The Elephant Safari is the best way to explore wildlife in Kaziranga. A must for all adventure enthusiasts, the elephant safari is bound to delight your kids too. Come back to the hotel and gorge upon a delicious breakfast. You can relax in your room until lunch, after which you will be taken on a thrilling Jeep Safari. DAY 3 Shillong: Transfer and Sightseeing
Savor a hearty breakfast and complete the check-out formalities. Proceed for your transfer to Shillong, the heritage town which still retains its colonial charm. Enroute stop and visit Umiam Lake. Umiam Lake: A man made water reservoir, the Umiam Lake is a popular tourist attraction in Shillong. Your kids can also indulge in boating and optional water sports. DAY 4 Shillong: Sightseeing in Cherrapunjee
Relish a delicious breakfast and proceed for excursion to Cherrapunjee. Visit Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave, and Arwah Cave. Nohkalikai Falls: At a height of 340 metres, the Nohkalikai waterfall is the highest waterfall in India. You can view the waterfalls from a viewpoint located at the end of a mountain ridge near Cherrapunjee’s main market. Seven Sisters Falls: The Seven Sisters Falls in the East Khasi Hills district is a waterfall to see only during the rainy season. These falls are the fourth highest waterfall in India and form seven layers which is an awe-inspiring sight. The Mawsmai caves are a major tourist attraction in the heritage town of Cherrapunjee. The caves have innumerable forms, shapes, and sizes, which is bound to leave spellbound. DAY 5 Shillong and transfer Guwahati -Local sightseeing
On the penultimate day of north east itinerary, visit the famous Elephant Falls. Enjoy a lip smacking breakfast and complete the check-out formalities. Visit Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls with your family. Shillong Peak: Perched at an altitude of 1965 metres, the Shillong Peak offers a panoramic view of the entire city.
